I own the ME66 Sennheiser... and surprised it didn't come with a case. What do you carry your mic around in?

And is temperature a concern for the well-being of the mic? Am I ok recording in 30 degree weather? I was just curious if when I bring the mic inside to warmer temps that some sort of condensation might occur inside the mic that could potentially damage it.

I carry my ME66 in a homemade leather holster. It has a belt loop. Most field recordists that I have seen using the ME66/67 have similar holsters. You should be able to find someone who works with leather to make you a nice holster. Not sure what they cost (since my ex-wife made mine), maybe someone can comment on this?
As for cold weather recording and the mic, can't say since most of my recording is done in the very humid tropics. BUT, the ME66 performs very well under humid/wet tropical conditions and I have never had a problem or malfunction in 4 years of use.

My K6 module came with a case which takes it and the ME67 capsule, however I never use it preferring to leave it set up ready to go with the pistol grip and Whisper gag on.
I am forced to use this rig just now as my Telinga is back in Sweden being repaired, and I have to say it (the Senn ) is great mic.
