Tree Sparows in West Midlands

I'm now on 199 species in my life list and would like to see tree sparrow for my 200th but don't know where they are seen often enough to be called regular so if anyone has any sites they know of please tell me or send me a PM thank you very much also I would like to say a big thank you to everyone on here who has helped me along thank you.

Rutland Water used to have a largish breeding colony of Tree Sparrows, if that isn't too far away from you, Tim

Hmmmmm Keith its a bit far but thanks might try it if I cant get any where else need some sites that are more Birmingham/worcs like the upton warren area thanks

Hi Tim,
Tree Sparrows are pretty well guaranteed on the feeders at Belvide Reservoir. This is a West Midland Bird Club reserve so you do need to be a member, although as you live locally I'm sure you may well be.

Yup i'd second this. Timmy perhaps we might get round to doing that Staffs day this year?? Loads of new birds in the county for you....

If you can stretch to a little further afield, Carsington Water in Derbys will guarantee you a Tree Sparrow.

Oh, and Black Necked Grebe, Great Northern Diver and possibly a scarce gull or two!

Saw them last winter at Lime Pits nature reserve outside Walsall and West Midlands as well.
