We are now in January and I have Blue tits and Great tits nesting already, what on earth is going on? maybe another sign of global warming, hope that we have a better March, April and May last year or once again the future look bleak for many nesting birds

have heard of blackbirds nesting up here also and loads of displaying thrushs,ducks and mistle thrushs singing..its not good for your familys of tits unless the insects start to hatch earlier also..

When did your birds lay their first egg?
Here on Lesbos Greece, in the population I study, the earliest clutches are of Blue Tit with a first egg day 13/3 and Great Tit with a FED 15/3.
