Rawshooter essentials 2006 issue

Hi there

My problem is when I try automaticly open with by clicking the choose button in batch convert, the window appears with the list of programme choices but it wont let me choose because the OK button is not highlighted & will not work. Do You know if this is normal within the free version of this brilliant raw progamme.

You have to navigate to the .exe file of the program you want to open your pics in. ie, if it were Photoshop it would be C/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS, then highlight the 'Photoshop.exe' file and the 'OK' button should then highlight.

If that doesn't work, try uninstalling then re-installing the program.

I have tried all that & the OK button still isn't lit, I have looked everywhere & cant sus it.

Okey-dokey...

Paul, fire the "Choose" dialog up again. Does it actually show the content of your Desktop?

Assuming it does, scroll up to the top of the options in the window, and click on the "+" next to "My Computer".

This gives you access to, among other things, your C: drive.

Click on the "+" next to "C: drive", and you'll see "Program Files".

"+" again, and scroll down to your Photoshop (or whatever) folder - then follow Jonathan's words of advice - once you've found the .exe file, a single click on it will enable the "OK" button.

Thanks yet again Keith, that worked great, I bet you are fed up of me, I cant get anything right lately!
I've just had to reinstall XP on a new hard drive as my hard drive had crashed as it was corruputed so I couldn't do this as my head was spinning round from loading everything back on the damn thing!!

Another problem for you Keith :C I have just reloaded Rawshooter on my laptop but it wont let me register, after clicking on the proceed button it comes up with a small window saying registration failure. any idea whats causing it?

Yep,

the registration server is gone now that RSE is not a "live" product".

Just cancel the registration ("register later"?) and it'll let you in.

It's just like this on my laptop.
