Vectis Birder

I went into town after work this afternoon to look for a reasonable digiscoping compact. I came home with an secondhand Nikon Coolpix 4500 for the bargainous price (well, I think so) of £59 from the Island Photo Centre in Newport.
Initial results - I've just tried it out on trees and static objects for now - are encouraging, considering the light was going and I'm using a Kowa TSN 601 which has only a 60mm objective...I will need bright sunny days for now, until I can afford that Swaro I have my eye on! ;)
