Hi there,

I was lucky enough to find a reasonably priced used Sigma 500 mm f4.5 APO EX HSM and picked it up yesterday. I'll be using it with the D200. I've read about using it with an altered Nikon TC 1.4. I've also read that AF works properly with the Kenko PRO 300 1.4 TC. But what about using it with the Tamron SP PRO 1.4? I've been told that this TC is actually identical to the Kenko, that these are one and the same...? Is that correct?

thanks for any comments,

Glenn

I've also heard that they are basical;ly the same thing so you should be fine. If you don't retain AF try taping three of the pins on the tc, this should give AF.

I've used ordinary sticky tape, but know others who recommend using insulating tape... I just used what was closest at the time!
