Anna's hummingbird

This was taken at the South Coast Botanic Gardens, Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles, last week. The flower is Salvia leucantha or Mexican sage and was a real magnet for both Anna's and Allen's Hummingbirds, but the Allen's were very camera shy, unfortunately!
