I have been researching cameras for digiscoping and have read much of what is on this site. I am wondering if there is a way to tell through camera specs whether a camera is good for digiscoping. For example is there a formula to find how bad vignetting will be. Also what specs are good to look for?
Thanks, Tim

Tim,
Have a look at this thread -

and others in the Digiscoping Forum.
For vignetting it's not reliable to just look at the specs because it depends a lot on the Eye Relief of the eyepiece it's going to be used on. You could say though that a small digicam with a lens of 30 - 120 mm range would be a good candidate if used on an eyepiece with Eye Relief of 17-20 mm. Neil.
