Hello all, I just bought a Sony DSC-W55 to replace my Nikon 4500 for digiscoping purposes. As well, it will make a nice overall pocketable camera---heck, even the 4500 was pocketable...and look at the dimension comparisons:
Sony: 3.5 x 2.3 x 0.9 mass (empty) 116 grams
Nikon: 5.1 x 2.9 x 2.0 mass (empty) 360 grams
Anyhoo, I was hoping to hear some encouraging words about his camera...I haven't heard of any reviews from digiscopers yet, although I've heard some good things about the W55's siblings, the W50 and W70. I'm hoping that I can get some decent results coupling this camera to a Zeiss 85/zoom eyepiece/Zhumell universal adapter gig!
