So what do you make of this then??
Here's a bit of help..... the small white speck in the centre of your monitor is not 4 dead pixels, nor the early signs of glaucoma - it is actually the bird in question.....

Spoonbill? Sloping profile and what seems to be a long bill lead me to that. As does the yellow-white plumage. Probably WAAAY off...

Yep, That's just what it is Robin.... I haven't been to Oare much in recent weeks, but had heard about the ghostly Curlew.
As it happened, I didn't have to go looking for it - it was just flying around with a bunch of BH Gulls, making a fearful racket - up near Dan's Dock on Sunday...
