I have bought a adapter(ebay cheepy) for my nikon d50/opticron scope, and have had a play but have noticed a lot of camera shake(using a ir remote),so is there a clamp that would go from the bottom of the camera to the tripod,so stabalizing the camera?.
cheers

There are expensive adapters (Avian (Ace, Bath) (http://www.acecameras.co.uk/asp/web/recorprod/1/product/9541/cat/1647/ph/cat/keywords//recor/1/SearchFor//PT_ID/1/product.asp), Nikon (http://www.acecameras.co.uk/asp/web/recorprod/1/product/9033/cat/1645/ph/cat/keywords//recor/1/SearchFor//PT_ID/1/product.asp) or Zeiss (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/index.asp?binsandscopes/digiscoping/zeiss.html) ), but nothing that would work as an add-on brace that I'm aware of

This is a costly solution http://www.bogenimaging.us/ that works. For the cheap solution get a longish , elastic strap and throw it over the front of the scope and put your foot in a loop. Or you can tie it to the tripod leg. You don't want it to be too tight though. If it's breezy I rest my hand on top of the scope sometimes or you can get a little bag of rice or sand . Neil.
