two weeks ago my friend and i saw and hreard our first chiffchaff at rspb sandwell valley it was in a tree by the hide and i usually hear them long before i see one so it was great to see and hear it . anyone else seen chiffchaff? we may be going to gigrin on sunday to see red kite ! neither of us have ever seen one before so hope for good weather ! sue

There are a few chiffchaffs about now as they tned to be one of the earlier migrants to come in, i saw 6 in a small area last week but only one today. Also gigrins probably the best place to see kites, or loads of kites. Go on a week day if you can as its a bit quieter.

hi luke , thanks for your message . we are going to gigrin on sunday all being well and it`ll be great to see the red kite . my friend works including saturdays so thats why we can only go on sunday . i`m not singing in our church music group this week . where in the valleys do you live ? i have connections in the rhondda --porth . great if we can keep in touch , sue :-O
