Hi,
Does anyone have any knowledge of the SSSI between Thaxted and Great Sampford called West Wood? I came across it last night driving home from Suffolk. The blurb on the board from Essex wildlife told me that it holds a breeding population of redpoll amongst other things. Will give it a try in the next couple of weeks but looks good for a summer evening's wander. More details here
