I have yet to decide on a camera that I will, in the near future, use for digiscoping. I have a threaded adapter that was given to me for a Swarovski scope which makes me lean to the E900. However, I do not want to sacrifice the quality to much. So I want a comparison of the F30 to the E900. Can some people help me compare the two?

I don't know if youve seen the thread on my recent purchase of an F30. I bought it for general use but was greatly influenced by its reputation as a good digiscoping camera.

Though by no means a "photographer" I can tell that the F30 has many good features for the price. Its lack of a viewfinder though in my mind reduces its use tremendously. On a scope or for static situations I am sure it would be excellent.

Like you though I would be very interested to hear any views on its comparison with the E900 both for digiscoping and as a general use camera.

PGinns and RAH have both recomended the E900 and both acheived great results with it.

However it apparently doesn't have quite the range of digiscoping friendly options as the F30. Like yourself, I would be very grateful for any further information and advice to help decide between the two. Or even any more alternatives. A view finder being a big factor in my own decision.

The big thing that I wish to be compared is the iso capabitlity/quality of the two cameras. However, a general quality assessment is great too.

Wow! This website is very detailed. Thanks for the info. It does appear that the F30 performes better.

Is there any suggestions on how I could best use my Swarovski threaded adapter with the F30?
