Currently digiscoping with Kowa TSN-823 spotting scope; Kowa DA-1 adapter; Kowa 21X & 32X fixed, wide-angle eyepieces; and Nikon 4300 & 4500 digital cameras.
Thinking about purchasing a new camera and looking for recommendations, especially from anyone digiscoping with a Kowa spotting scope and 21X eyepiece. Perfer camera with filter thread, but just purchased the new Kowa universal digital adapter so this is not critical.
Looking for a camera with 7+MP, with little shutter lag; no more than 4X optical zoom; 2" LCD or better; and manual mode.
Thinking about purchasing Fuji E900, Fuji 31D (perhaps Fuji F30), or might even go out on long limb and try the new Nikon P5000. Any thoughts on cameras cited above would be appreciated. Also, thoughts on on other cameras welcome. Been digiscoping for about three years now.
