Something different!

X marks the spot.

I have removed a female Peregrine from an image off Thorney Island.

If you have the software capability, place a small 'X', where you think the falcon was.

To be less obvious. That was my first thought but on closer inspection it looks like a hair.

But I've been wrong before!

Well done guys,

One of you is extremely close.

I'll leave you to stew for a little longer. Perhaps refine your choice!

I don't have the software, but just to be different I'll say she was on top of that little pole in front of those.....whatever those things are. That's my guess.

sneaking in low over the tree line, approaching birds on mudflat from the side rather than behind like any sensible predator! (actually made that up but saw a Perry do just this at Dunge recently and views from hide were in exactly that position!)

Deborah,

You're not far off with your cross, there was a second bird at the back which came in from the left and went down into Chidham Harbour, but the one I want was sitting on the furthest tank to the right, Woody, is about 10mm to the right too far. The interesting aspect is that those Oystercatchers were not that far away from this bird.

Well done Woody.

Aw well ... at least a Perry was there at some point ;)

Can you post up the original picture now for us to see?

Apologises Deborah and folks

I meant to attach the image, but someone coming into the studio interrupted me.

Herewith the images, it’s a slightly moved on to the right image from the original posted.

So before Woody starts saying that he was spot-on, I’ll clarify the point.

If only my 'spot the ball' skills were as close, I could've been rich!

I think the fact that I work as a digital retoucher may have improved my chances somewhat. I can't imagine ever wanting to remove a peregrine from one of my shots, chance would be a fine thing! Good fun though, maybe I'll do something along similar lines for everyone.

Thanks Pe'rigin - excellent pic, but that's not the same photo is it? (taken from different angle?)
Would be nice the see the whole original picture you originally posted

Again apologises for not using the original, but I shot about 80 images of this bird. Setting up the file I stupidly over-wrote the original on the desktop without noting the reference file.

Any way I'm going to post another one on Little Terns, if anybody can get this one then they are a true genius!

LOL (so I could have very close then as far as the original pic's concerned - ''there was a second bird at the back which came in from the left'' but we'll never know now!!!

Let's see if you can get the pic right for the terns :'D ;) Good fun anyway
