I've been using a Samsung I5 for the past 18months. Whilst I've never found it easy to focus just recently it seems to have developed a problem with over exposing any photo taken outside. I've even tried going back to the default automatic settings but everything is at least 3 stops overexposed. Strangely whatever the problem is doesn't affect photos taken indoors. I've tried altering the exposure compensation settings and the preview image on the LCD reacts accordingly. Even though the preview image looks perfect unfortunately as soon as I press the shutter the resulting image is completely overexposed. Has anybody else had this problem?

Regards

Ian

Well I took the I5 back to In Focus - the original supplier, and it turns out this is a known issue. Fortunately its not too common. Anyhow it was suggested that I contact Samsung direct and if they need proof of purchase etc.....to let In focus know and they'd back me up. I know its a bit sad replying to my own post but perhaps this is a known issue with the I6 and NV3 as well. Time to see how Samsung customer service perform.

Sorry to hear your problem ikw, but you might have saved some other people a bit of grief.
Hope they sort you out quickly.
