Dear Friends,

Good morning. I am new to this group. Will some one please help me to select a 12X50 ( or something nearer to that ) roof prism binocular? My price range is upto $150 ( approximately 6000 INR). I want roof prism, fully multi coated lens and waterproof essentially. I searched a lot on the net but am not able to get retail prices of many models which satisfy my conditions. I am located in India and want to purchase from US. Finally I found this group and am looking forward to an acute solution from you friends.

Thanks,
Regards,

Hiren Savaliya

For that price, you could get a 10x Bushnell Excursion, ot a 8x one.

That store has discussion forum, their expert will actually recommend a few models in their discussion forum, link on their main page. I have not seen the Excursions, I think they might be just borderline useable.

There are no 12x roofs you can get for that money, but you do not need 12x. A good pair of 10x is all anyone needs, beyond that there is only a scope.

BUT, as an example, here is a 12x that might be useable, and it is over your budget.

People generally buy those sort of things until they realize they really need a scope.
