Anyone of you got solar bird baths? I might be ordering this fantastic one that not only does it has a bird bath but also a feeder at the top with 2 hooks at the side to put other feeders on. At the bottom you can put flowers on. Sadly I can't post a pic but by crikey it looks amazing.

Sorry Euan..just got the usual old washing up bowl which does the job just fine. Are you sure you want to get a solar powered one...in our weather...lol..just kidding. It sounds good. If you get one let us see what it looks like

Best wishes

Hi Euan,

I haven't go one either, but did you see it on a web site? If so, can you put a link through to the site so we can see what you mean and the price etc? Thanks,

Sue,

I would be careful about a birdbath with feeders above - ensure the design does not encourage the fowling of the water, a very likely source of disease if it does.

I would also question the real need in the UK, how often is the birdbath frozen and, when it is, how frozen? Out here, where it would be useful, I also think it is not good - as I understand a solar bird bath can only raise temperatures a few degrees, so useless for me ...taking the ice from minus 30 to minus 25 or even minus 20 doesn't make a lot of difference ;)

Agree it does seem a bit gimmicky, like those bird boxes and bird tables combined in one
