Today whilst shooting Little Gulls using my 1D MKII N and 500 f4 my camera 'froze' and I got the message Error 01. I took athe camera off and attached the 20D to the lens. Whilst looking at the 'dead' camera I noticed that the error message now read Error 99. I have checked the batteries, took out the CF card and replaced them and changed the battery and I still get Error 99.
I have tried different lenses and when the camera is attached I get Error 01 and when there is no lens attached to the camera I get Error 99
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Anticipating some questions, I had Genuine Sandisk Extreme III CF cards in and genuine Canon Batteries and they were fully charged. All the images on the card that were taken before the error message had been saved.
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers
