Nice close up of the Common Redstart wing.,a 1st winter female showing all 9 old greater coverts with pale tips and fringes and old outer median coverts with same coloration but the inner ones pure grey with no pale tips or fringes.
At this time of year worth a look inside the upper mandible as 1st winter "Chats" usually still have either white or yellow there whereras adult birds are grey-black in color.
