I know this is a crappy photo. 100yards handheld at x60 on the scope and getting dark.
But can you indentify these two?.
Took this this evening close to home!.

On a more serious note. Kingfisher on left and is that a bittern on the right? If not a bit of wood.

Well done Spar & Stephen

Kingfisher and Sparrowhark ( F ).
The Sparrowhawk was there for a good 5 mins and then the Kingfisher came and perched. They were watching each other again for about 5 mins.
I think a game of chicken was being played!.
The Spar left first.
I guess the Kingfisher won.

James

After seeing the half dozen pics I took, that was the best by the way, I did have a drink.

Well if you chaps can identify from a picture of that calibre, you really are something else.In future I will have absolutely no qualms about submitting my rather blurred efforts for ID.Incidentally,Stephen and Chris, where was Michael when all this was going on,was it too difficult for him!!(joke ,joke,).
Well done all of you,I am very impressed.
Christine.
