I now have my 100-400. There is no information or instruction about the cash back. Is there a specific way of claiming ?
I have looked on the Canon web site but it doesn't seem to give instructions. Any help appreciated
Thanks

You will have to act quickly as the claim has to be made by June 11th!
You will either have to download a form from the Canon UK website or pick up a leaflet from the retailer you bought it from if they have any left.
I could have saved myself £40 if I'd bought my A640 online as I was told by Jessops it was an exclusive for the Bank holiday weekend. I have sent off the completed refund application and I'm waiting for the cheque to arrive.
Edit; you may have more time to claim for your lens, see here; http://www.canon.co.uk/promotions/Index.asp

I thought you were ok to claim cash back as long as the item was bought before 30 June and the cash back form is sent off before this date also.
If what you say about the 11 June is true I better get my form sent off pretty quick as well.

Just read the terms and conditions and you wrong with June 11. Claim forms must be returned by 15/8/2007. The cash back will take 3 months to go either in your bank or for a cheque to be sent back.

This applied to the camera I bought, there seems to be different deadlines for each item. Apologies if I made anyone panic.

Thanks for that.
I got the terms as you advised. As others say, we have plenty of time-I am arranging for a cheque because electronic trnasfer can carry a surcharge.

Drat! I bought my Canon 100-400 zoom on 20/03/07 and the cashback offer started April Fools day!

Got my new 30D and 100-400mm IS on 30/6 just within the deadline. Can anyone tell me if Canon confirmed receipt of the on-line registration form and bar-code / till receipt via an e-mail or does the cheque just arrive (hopefully)?

My cashback arrived about 5 weeks after my camera. For the person asking, the form for the cashback is on the website but only the uk site. Download the form, fill it in, send it with a copy of your invoice and barcode off the box to the address in Eire.

I have never had a confirmation Robin and I have had four cashbacks now. The first you know is when the cheque arrives.

On the submission form it asks for your e-mail address. I received an e-mail acknowledging the cash back submission & giving me a submission number with details to trace it if it should be delayed too long

Thanks guys - my e-mail was on the forms submitted but it seems they don't always confirm anyway ? Fingers crossed I should get my cheques in 2 or 3 weeks time.

By coincidence I got my cheque today-approximately 6 weeks later.
