I got this product called Sportman's Hi-Tech Optical Cleaner. It smells very much like ammonia (Windex) but the label says it's Isopropyl Alcohol. It it a defogging agent.

Question, is it safe to use on bins?

Secondly, under what conditions would bins fog up in the first place?

Download and print the Zeiss brochure on how to clean microscopes.
It's professional advice!

What works for a microscope will work for binoculars.
Scopes and binoculars are more durable than microscope lenses due to their coatings:

Forget all the rest.

Tom,

This looks useful, but the site will not open. Do you have another link?

Cheers,
