Steve
I'm certainly keeping an eye on eBay, but I'd like the opportunity to try one out before committing myself which isn't really an option on eBay, so I'd like to track a retailer down if at all possible

I ordered mine direct from cpcpower.com in the states. The guy there called Tom couldnt have been more helpful. It took less than a week to be delivered and although it's very early days I'm impressed by it. There are some test shots with a sony F828 here if you wish to check it out. http://www.thelewiss.co.uk/gallery/

I also ordered mine directly from CKCpower and it took 1.5 weeks to arrive to Portugal including customs, I gotta say I'm thrilled with this lens, for the price is defenetely a worthy investement, and it still would be if it costs more.

some samples here:

only the 2nd rabbit was shot with the CVlens and I'm sorry but it takes quite a while to download.

All were shot with an S7000, there's a lot of vignetting with this camera using the CV so the images are cropped a lot. Depending on your camera, you can get much better results.

Hi Fernando

I also use Cristal Vue lense and my camera is CP4500. I still trying to find the right way to get good pictures. I saw some of your pictures posted in dpreview and they are great.

Did you took that picture in Portugal? If so, near Lisbon?

thanks

All the pics I've posted were shot in Algarve, the majority of them in Ria Formosa, others in Sapal (Castro Marin).

BTW with your camera you could use a Scopetronix eyepiece (18mm or 14mm) that will give you much more power. I'm considering buying one of this eyepieces myself to use with a smaller camera.

Regards,
Fernando

EDIT: Is your lens the Sharpshooter or the LX? If it's the first forget about the eyepiece comment.

Hi,

My lens is Sharpshooter. Thanks for information.
I'll try to go to Algarve one of these days.
