Come on, have a go- nothing really weird or unusual on any of these pictures!

Pic 4: Stanpit Marsh, Christchurch, England. 8/10/2006. 9 species
Pics 5 and 6 : Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, England.12/11/06 11 and 9 species respectively.

Anyone else got any fruit salad pics (high number of identifiable species on a single frame) apart from Birderbf here ? http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=88973&page=6

Wish I could do those jazzy notes on the photo! In pic 4 I could add Sandwich Tern (above the labelled Brent Goose); I think the Common Gull is a Herring, and that looks like a Coot under the word "England" in the top left-hand corner ;) I would also guess that the Barwits are Blackwits, but only on expectation not ID skills!

I'm going on time of year as much as anything, Sandwich Tern would not be present in winter, which it must be for all those Wigeon & Oycs to be together. I would guess there would also be Dunlin in with the Starlings but I can't make them out.

No-one likes a smart*rse do they. ;)

Whoops! missed 4 out, so make that 10.

Thanks for playing all. ‘Answers’ attached- but feel free to dispute my ideas!

Pic 4- Nick Patel and teamsaint both got 8, but well done to MSA who spotted Sandwich Tern (yes it was there in October- see attached) and Coot (both of which I had missed- I also found Redshank so pic 4 actually had 12 species).

Pic 5- Prairiemerlin had 10 correct, GMS and Nick Patel both got 9. The Shoveler is hard to spot!

Pic 6- Kinnordyvolunteer, Redeyedvireo and Nick Patel all got 100% (the blurry thing is a Jackdaw!)

Top scorer overall for those who tried 2 or more pics was GMS (85%)

Please look out for fruit salad 3 coming soon.

Hmm... studying picture five closely, the bird I thought to be a teal (may be a wigeon, I don't know...) isn't labeled. Take a look...

By Jiminy, you're right Neil. It is a male Teal as I live and breathe. Award yourself a bonus point.
