Carrying strap

The little black plastic slider on my carrying strap has broken.

Does anyone know if these can be purchased or am I doomed to fork out thrity quid for a new strap?

Try a well-equipped outdoors sports shop; they may have these little plastic things available for a shilling or so. I had to renew one myself a couple of years ago and found just the right thing in an outdoors/camping store. They had them in a variety of sizes.

You might try a couple of "O-rings" of a similar diameter to the slider, they can be obtained from a hardware store for a few cents.

Novel idea - might try that if I can't find a slider.
