Just looked at their web-site.
It says this on sustainable development:
Our Sustainable Development policy states: "At BHP Billiton, we are comitted to sustainable development. Health, safety, environment and community responsibilities are integral to the way we do business..".
You can e-mail them on matters of 'ethics and business conduct' at this address: businessconduct@bhpbilliton.com
I urge anyone who gives a toss about one of the most important pristine forest eco-systems in the world to do so - it will only a take a couple of minutes, and they need to know that people care about this.

The bloody immoral Chinese. They stopped logging from natural forests in their own country because of their knowledge of the problems it causes, and now do deals with poor countries in Africa and Asia to take their natural resources.
