Hello all

Birder, birdwatcher or bird-spotter? In this competition, guaranteed to make you waste more time than you wanted to, it helps if you are the latter. So all you birdspotters gather round!

Go to this link:
http://www.birdinginspain.com/free-birding-downloads.html

and click on the "competition feature" and then all you have to do is "spot the bird!". There really is a bird there somewhere, so all that's needed is for you to find it and tell me what the species is and in which square of the grid.

Happy spotting!

Well that made short work of that, didn't it!
Judging by the speed of the reply I'd say you are an Ace bird-spotter Mark!

I know quite a few people who'd disagree with that statement ;)

Bearing in mind how much time I spent on the raptor silhouettes, I was quite relieved to find it quickly!

Zoom lens? I didn't even take the picture! Now before anybody gets the wrong impression, I am not a bird photographer - as subjects they are usually too mobile for my patience and technical means.
