Oct 14,the day at the Rocky Mountain Eagle Research Foundation started slow, 11 GOEG by 11:00 am but that would change ending the day with 536 GOEG logged and aged. A record day for fall migration, it was a furious day of writing, sorting, zooming, and the icing on the cake, it was my first day out with my new STS 80 mm Swaro, what a sweet way to break it in, Raptor.

Can you run that one past me again Raptor? 536 different Golden Eagles flying through one place on one day. That is what you said wasn't it?
Wow

Hi Fifey,
That's what he said . . . fancy a trip over there?!
It seems just about the entire Alaskan population decamps down to Arizona & California for the winter, with the whole lot of them all migrating down one valley. Raptor's website is well worth a browse, fascinating stuff.

Just had a look at the website...hmm not bad. 1100 in a day sounds even more impressive. Maybe I'll check my diary.
