I took a trip to a barrier island on the gulf coast of Florida a few days and saw what I thought to be dunlins, but after a little deliberation I changed my mind and thought that they might have been red knots.
Can anyone help me out with any features that would distinguish the two?
Other birds seen were marbled godwits, american oystercatchers, black skimmers, snowy plover, black bellied plovers, a whole mess of laughing gulls, and a variety of terns.
