A bird that involved a monumental trip to Fair Isle, actually for the Siberian Rubythroat which would not stay still long enough to photograph, this Savannah Sparrow however was quite a poser and just everso slightly rarer than the Sibe.

Very nice result. I don't think anyone got a good shot of the 'Sibe' anyway.

So this is why my winter sparrows haven't arrived yet. Took a side trip to England uhhh Scotland!

So which race is it? It doesn't look much like the only one I have seen, the one at Portland way back. Fabulous pic by the way.

still need this one for my British list!! one closer to my home would do nicely (already seen 3 species of yankee sparrow in my area so you never know)!!!
