This I would imagine has to be the bird of the year for many birders, news broke late on a Sunday afternoon, and probably prompted many fictitious migraines and dental appointments. I got this and many other shots of the bird during a 'dental appointment' of my own.

And a great picture it is too of a very un-lark like species. The bill looks like it is more adapted to cracking seeds like a finch? must be convergent evolution.
