I picked up a Samsung GX-1L DSLR for £182 on ebay which is a good price, came with a brand new 18-55mm kit lens and camera looks new. The camera takes any K mount Pentax lenses so I'm probably going to opt for the 40mm pancake len which seems a popular one for digiscoping. The camera is basically a rebadged copy of the Pentax *ist DL2, same firmware etc.
Here's a test photo using the kit lens and just hand held up to my 17mm Baader Hyperion eyepiece on my 80mm Inpro Optigra spotting scope. Range for the photo is measured at dead on 10m and this photo has been reduced by around 50% to 800 pixels for posting. Taken on RAW on full manual mode at ISO200 with the lens at 45mm, manually focused. RAW image processed in Photoshop CS2. There is some vignetting on this eyepiece when the lens is at 18mm wide angle but it soon disappears at around 25mm.
