A good reference for Michigan birding is "A Birder's Guide to Michigan" by Allen Chartier and Jerry Ziarno published recently. It includes over 200 of the best locations in Michigan for birding as well as much needed information on the Kirtland's Warbler viewing sites and tours. The Birders Guide has maps, directions to all locations and charts showing when each species are present in the state.

"A Birders Guide to Michigan" is available at American Birding Association sales
