Is the Lowepro Topload Zoom AW Holster Bag my best choice for carrying the FZ50 with the 1.7 extender attached or loose in the bottom? I would prefer a bag that opens away from the hip but can't find one.
 
Sorry not to have seen this sooner.

Your ideal solution is the Camera Care Systems Tusker 164 (black or blue), with their Better Belt threaded through its back.

I've used this combination in the UK, Thailand and China. Very quick to remove the camera and thickly padded protection.

£30 + £8.
 
I'm looking for a case for a Pansonic Fz18 presumably this would be suitable too. Anyone else got anythoughts on the best case?
