Good morning,
I would like some advice please regarding buying a compact pair of binoculars.I want a small reasonably priced pair that I can easily take with me when I go out biking/walking,that I can just slip into my bag without being weighed down.I am interested in general birdwatching and looking at insects etc.I look forward to reading your replies.

If light weight is your concern but you don't mind dealing with a bit of bulk, the Pentax 6.5x21 Papilio is the best of the best for looking at insects and it is good for general birding as well. In the USA it sells for about $120 and is a steal at that price given its excellent quality and unique capabilities.
