Not sure how good a record it is but figure it may be of interest to spanish birder´s...
Had a Second calender Year Iceland Gull todat at the port of Sanxenxo, not to far north of Vigo, in NW Spain today. Bird resting with Yellow Legged Gulls on rocks directly across from end of pier where ferries pick up passengers on route to Illsa le Ons.
Put the news here in case it is a rarity and of interest to birder´s, though not sure of the status of this species in Spain, just visiting the area on a holiday...

Hi there

It certainly is a rarity, and also early for Iceland Gulls in this part of Spain, I believe. Would you like to send the details to Ricard Gutierrez's page "Rare Birds in Spain" - this is a page gathering news of rarities for the whole of Spain.
