Birding in gambia (1 Viewer)

Assuming you're after a field guide, don't think you can do better than "Birds of The Gambia and Senegal" by Barlow, Wacher and Disley (Helm Field Guides) - ISBN 978-0-7136-7549-8.

hancock, we have just returned from The Gambia last Friday, the book that MSA recommended is the book to have.
Where are you staying and havre you organised a guide as yet????
You will see some great birds, enjoy.

Hi Kalispera, We are staying at the hotel Senegambia beach in Kololi, We have not organised a guide yet, can you recommend one, thanks hancock.

Hancock I was in Gambia in 92 and friends of mine were there 20 months ago. We both use Baba as our guide and found him excellent. Knew Gambia and its birds thoroughly and was recording all the calls back in 92.
Baba can usually be found by the bridge near the golf course if not there just ask most people know him. Incidently the golf course is not far from the Senegambia hotel.
Gooluck not that you'll need it the birding is superb.
Cheers Mike
