I looked in to Bowling Green Marsh on the way home from our first holiday break, and what a surprise, there were so many Pochard, Shovellers, Shellduck, Coots, Pintails, Lapwing, and some other birds I didn't have on my books, one I thought was a little grebe, and the best report of all was the first ever reported Lesser Scaup!! I wouldn't know if I had seen it or not, as I haven't got any books with it in.
I was yet again dissappointed, as I missed the Glossy Ibis!! I swear it knows I'm coming, as it is never there when I get there. I was very pleased to hear the cirl bunting, and to see it above the car, singing it's little heart out! What a lovely sound.
I felt this was a very different sight compared to the last time, as all the birds were very different, no Black tailed Godwits, avocets, and many other birds all were different, spelling the seasons.:bounce:
