To be honest, there's only two or three that benefit from the B+W treatment, most being just straight de-saturated colour photos. I'll be surprised if anything other than those two or three don't win!

Well, at the moment my first choice is lying second and my second choice is in the lead.

The theme this month was 'Monochrome Birds'.

From the 88 entries 30 were selected to be included in the voting booth for members to vote upon. 105 members cast their vote.


First place goes to - Pluvius with Albatross with Mountain Background
which attracted 14/105 votes.

Second place A. Meir with White-crowned Wheatear 12/105 votes

Third place was taken by macshark with Red-tailed Hawk8/105 votes.

Thanks to everybody that voted. It was pretty much neck and neck until sunday morning. Avi I thought yours was a lovely image. Having entered quite a few of these competitions over the last few years and rarely getting more than a few votes it made my day.

The albatross was magic, voted for winner, maybe one day I will get a albatross when they move upto UK with global warming, well done all.............
