Can any of you good people give me directions to Gait Barrows also parking many thanks in advance.

You do know you can only vist if you have a permit,which you have to send away for.

Hi Geoff,
Many thanks for the reply, I did,nt know about the permit iwas hoping to go Monday but i think i will just visit Whitbarrow. Thanks.

There are a number of public footpaths that run through Gaitbarrows so access is possible without a permit.

Nobody checks for permits, it is the same for most Natural England reserves in this area. It is something to do with the legal postion when they were set up in the way back when by the NCC.
