Are these still competative?

Don't really hear many people raving about these on this forum as they once did, just musing how much room my clunky 7x42 porros take up in my rucksack!! ....would be nice to think about something a little more diminutive!!

btw I'm refering to the cheaper current model not the now discontinued BD BR models...
