Abundant today at Herringfleet hills Near Lowestoft, Could not locat any Adders or Grass snakes though.

Karwin, is there much in the way of change in colouration, & size in the adder's in Finland? Over here the diagnostic zigzag marking's down the back make the i.d. easy. But sometimes reddish-brown, or all black specimens are seen. Thanks ,

melanism seems common in Suffolk I have also seen this in Grass Snakes, most recently last week at Carlton Marshes.
