Hi everyone

I am hoping to go to Bedgebury Pinetum one day soon and try to see the roosting finch flocks and maybe Crossbills (which have been reported on the forest's website - 20 apparently!):

http://www.bedgeburypinetum.org.uk/

I have heard that there is a good spot to set up my scope and look out towards some poplar trees. Am a little confusd where this spot is though? Can anyone point out where it might be on the map below?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Many thanks :t:

Alex

It's an awfully long time since I visited Bedgebury and, offhand, I'm not sure what the current situation is regarding either the traditional Hawfinch roost there or where the current flock of Crossbill is to be found. Both used to be present amongst the larger trees on the crown of the hill far side a valley where you entered the place. If nobody else has any news here you could always try posting a request on the KOS website (see - http://kentosforum.proboards.com/)
