Hi Ya'll,
I will have the wonderful opportunity to visit Ireland for 2 weeks in January. I will be traveling with a non-birder (but doesn't mind a few stops).

I believe the itinerary is as follows: land in Dublin, travel south and around to the west coast and then inland back to Dublin.

I would like any and all suggestions/recommendations for places and the birds that might be seen at a location.

Also a recommendation for a "Birds of Ireland" book and bookstore in Dublin where it can be purchased.

Any other suggestions? Yes, I know the weather may not be the best, but would rather deal with weather than tourists :)-O)!

Thank you for your assistance and wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

From Texas,
Sharon

I can't help with a bookstore in Dublin, but try Irish Birds by David Cabot.
I just bought one from Amazon.co.uk for less than £10 sterling.
Enjoy your trip.
