Advice For birders visiting NM - a site called e-bird (which most US birders are familiar) is now by far the best resource for seeing what is about. see link below

NM is a poorly birded state and there is alot around. The NM Bird-finding guide needs alot of updating and the NM RBA http://birdingonthe.net/hotmail/WEST.032092655.html is pretty amateur. The AZ-NM list http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/AZNM.html occasionally has some useful information.

Anyway, for those not familiar with e-bird there are alot of parameters you can play with.
