I have taken to looking out for Great Black Backed Gulls, so far I have only ever found them in pairs, never more of less than a single pair though the two birds might actually be some distance apart. Latest sighting was today a pair at the weir on the River Exe in Exeter a short distance fron St Davids Station, in this cae one bird was on the weir whilst the other was high up on one of the supports of the adjacent bridge.

Another pair I regularly see are usually to be seen by the marina at Torquay and again the two birds might be some distance apart but they are always somewhere within the same area as each other.
