This from Nate Diaz from Carolina Listserv yesterday. I held off posting til I had his permission to post here.

According to some listservs in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic areas, birders in
the Carolinas could be seeing an epic southward push of migrants over the next
2-3 days.


Apparently a lack of favorable conditions has stacked up birds for quite a while
north of us and the floodgates were expected to open last night and tonight:
