I have been testing several camcorder teleconverter lenses for some time. I believe smaller camcorder's image quality and sensor sensibility will catch today's bigger camcorders in the future. Thus a good quality front attachable tele lens will be a good investment. Unfortunately nowadays manufacturers do not produce high quality teleconverters other than 1.5X-2X ones. I put some footage taken with Nikon TC-E17ED and 16X9 Inc.'s 1.5X teleconverter's (Zunow clone) results. Please note that the Nikon's rear glass is about 40 mm and 16X9's is c. 50mm. Thus Pana TM700's autofocus does not work properly in most case. So I did the focus manually most of the time. Here are the samples of TC-E17ED:
